Charlotte at Ballet

by Lorri on March 24, 2009

Today was parent day at Charlotte’s ballet class.  Spring parent day is much anticipated because it is all about the upcoming recital!  The girls can barely contain themselves while their teacher tells the parents all we need to know about rehearsals, pictures, makeup, hair and the recital itself.  Then finally, costumes are handed out and tried on!!  The girls run through their dance a couple of times while the moms snap pictures.

They are dancing to “The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” this year and their costumes have “real, grown-up, sticking out” tutus.  Their legs have to be perfect because there is no long skirt to cover them!

Charlotte is the smallest, so she leads off.  One girl joined their class after costume orders had been taken, so hers hadn’t arrived yet.
