We spent our first full day at Walt Disney World at the Magic Kingdom. Everyone said we’d like it better than Disneyland…it was great, but Disneyland is still number one! Boo and Charlotte were Disney veterans already and knew which rides they wanted to go on. Nicky B got the hang of it soon enough and enjoyed every minute of it! Charlotte is now old enough to ride Dumbo by herself, and she and Boo both love the other rides like Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain.
Charlotte and Nicholas met Ariel, the Little Mermaid. She was the only princess Charlotte hadn’t met yet, so it was worth the wait in line. Ariel said that Nicholas was a “handsome little sailor” and she gave him a kiss on his forehead.

During lunch, the boys waved to the people on the It’s A Small World ride.

Sometimes the people waved back!

The kids tried to pull the sword from the stone and become the King of England.

We had a really funny Jungle Cruise driver. Towards the end of the ride, he called Boo up, traded hats with him and let him drive the boat! Look carefully at the picture (click to enlarge) and you can see that the driver isn’t holding the wheel. Boo got to drive all the way through the dark, fallen temple.

They kept each other’s hats even after Boo finished driving.

At the end, Boo got an official “Guest Skipper” license.

Nicholas was just tall enough to ride Goofy’s Barnstormer. He got a little card saying “congratulations on your first roller coaster experience.”
The weather was great that first day and we had the absolute best time!
