Ballet Recital

Charlotte’s ballet recital went very well.  They had a full dress rehearsal earlier in the week where we were allowed to take pictures.  I had only the stage lighting and my point and shoot camera, so the picture quality is not the best, but here they are:

The recital itself was a 3 hour production.  Charlotte’s class is made up of all homeschooled girls from our base, so they are all friends outside of the dance studio.  They danced beautifully to “Rainbow Connection,” and I don’t think there was a dry eye among any of their mothers.  I know that the first time we ever saw them dance that we were all taken aback at how wonderful they were.

It was a hectic time, learning to do stage makeup and the official regulation bun, making sure we didn’t leave the house without costume and all it’s accessories and backup supplies for all sorts of wardrobe disasters.  We had fun.
